My mom knows someone who had to have bone marrow extracted and said it hurt as much as childbirth. I wonder why it's a shortage of Asians. There was an article awhile back about a shortage of Asian EGG donors, too.
according to the website the chance of someone finding a match is anywhere between 1/100 to 1/ a million, so the chances that you are a match are fairly low. It's not just a shortage of Asians, but a shortage of minorities in general.
