Tristan and Isolde

Recently I saw a trailer for the Tristan and Isolde movie. If one is trying to set the mood for a period piece about what looks like pre Norman Invasion Britain, I could think of better songs to play during the trailer than Evanescence's "Going Under." That's just me though.

I forced myself to resist the urge to go see that. I'm waiting to get it on DVD, that way I can yell in the privacy of my own home.

So, have we left the era of knowing, faux historical films, and now live a post ironic age where Evanescence seems entirely appropriate for medieval England?

apparently nothing else can properly convey the darkness of their bleeding souls.

FYI the actress who plays Isolde (Sophia Myles) was the blonde vampire in "Underworld" and Mr. Pullings' sister in "Nicholas Nickleby". She looks a lot like Kate Winslet and she's a pretty good actress IMHO.
